William Ashton and Renee Johnson were crowned fair king and queen Saturday afternoon at the Ag Building during the Delaware County Fair.

As royalty, they will give out awards at fair events and serve as ambassadors for local traditions + represent Delaware County at other fairs over the next year.

Delaware Area Career Center earned a 5-star rating on its State Report Card, and Superintendent Jay Poroda said the center will keep evolving to meet workforce needs.

The report card evaluated achievement, graduation rate, career readiness, and post-program outcomes.

The Delaware Hayes Grand Pacer Marching Band earned a Superior rating at its first competition, qualifying for state and setting the stage for its second contest today in Tipp City at the 50th Tippecanoe Marching Band Invitational.
